Isn't that gif cute?
Yeah, I'm THAT impressed.
Going back on track, as I was saying, the Insta-trio is not composed of the most skilled model out there but still those girl are winning! And by winning I mean that the fashion industry, lead by Vogue and its more insipid twice removed cousin Cosmopolitan are constantly glorifying these girls. And that said girls are cashing on ad campaign money.
Instead of following the fashion crowd, the world at large (and often fellow models) are constantly pouring vitriol at these the Insta-trio. I don’t mind negative comments. God knows I do my share of those. However, there is a difference between harmless derision in the face of mediocre work that is praised to heaven by those who matter and ill-mannered slander.
By the way, for those who don’t know, in modelling, people call insta-model the girls who's fame has more to do with their family connection and privileged background than their actual skills as models.
I dislike defending people I’m not a fan of. I’m petty like that. But the way, some people are acting. About two weeks ago, an editorial of Kendall in which she pretended to be a ballet dancer came out. So what did people do? They found nothing better than to criticisize her. It wasn’t one or two isolated people rather it was a swarm composed of bitter (and envious?) individuals.
The Kendall ballet vogue shoot has me heated. They should of used a real dancer. Instead it's her lookin like her ankles might break any sec— Whit (@whitneybesser) 19 September 2016
Seriously cringing looking at Kendall's ballet photos from Spanish Vogue. 😖😖— Desa Baking (@desabaking) 20 September 2016
And the best for the end
KENDALL JENNER PRETENDING TO KNOW BALLET IS THE MOST OFFENSIVE THING ABOUT 2016 https://t.co/m01Y6jhUBr— Mackenzie Doan (@MsKenzieMarie) 20 September 2016
Donald Trump. Murder of black people. Sexism. Brexit...There is truly nothing MORE offensive than Kendall's photoshoot in 2016!!!! Yeah Right...
Girl, honestly...IT’S. JUST. BALLET, duh. GET OVER IT! The sad thing is that the ed was of Teapot’s best. That says a lot about her work…
There is worse than a senseless freak out over ballet. When Gigi was grabbed from behing by a so called "prankster", there are quite a couple of lightbulbs who considered that she had overreacted. Yes! You heard me right. A girl is lifted off her feet on the street from behind by a lunatic and she gets pissed off and it is SHE who is in the wrong? O_O In what world? For those that thought this way, I would like to point out that in the brief pace in which Vitalii Sediuk (the "prankster") grabbed Gigi, if he had had a knife he would have easily been able to harm her badly. As in, it could have fatal.
Though she isn’t a model, I would like to say the exact same thing concerning Kim Kardashian’s horrific robbery. Some very nasty and heartless individuals wrote things such as “I wish she had been gunned down”. Ughh, can you write such a thing and look yourself in the mirror afterward? I wonder.
Here’s a shocker: celebrities are human being, made of blood and flesh like the rest of us. People need to realize this. However, in the case of the Insta-models and the Kardashians, I wonder if there isn’t something subtler at play. You know that green monster. We’ve all encounter it, some more than others. Yes, I’m talking about jealousy. I guess some are extremely envious and mightily riled that wealthy, good-looking, healthy, happy people became famous and even wealthier with according to some, seemingly doing nothing or at least being outrageously privileged. I do agree that if they hadn’t been born wealthy and gorgeous (and for some had talented surgeons) we wouldn’t know who the Hadids or the Kardashians are. But my opinion concerning their work ethic differs. You simply cannot be as successful as they are without hard-work and an ambitious and focused mind. It is simply not possible. And this is coming from someone who isn’t even a fan.
Besides, why be so upset? It’s not as if any of these girls and women were running for president or applying for high level government jobs. We have Donald Trump and the Bush family for that which is already scary as it is.
In any case, guys, Please Guys, Let. It. Go!
Do you feel like me that Teapot, Malibu Barbie and Death Stare are overreated models? Or are you mad in love with them? By the way, if there's any fan of those three around here, remind yourself that this post was written from a place of...Well...Let's just say that I wasn't trying to be mean.
